The General Harrison Site—San Francisco

The General Harrison is one of three famous Gold Rush era storeships in San Francisco. In 1998, Archeo-Tec's archival study predicted the General Harrison to be buried beneath an existing building's basement at the intersection of Battery and Clay Streets. In September of 2001, Archeo-Tec conducted an excavation of the stern half of the ship. Proceed to the photo galley to learn more.
